The “Inner Eyes Family Orchestra” is the only team in the history of Indian classical music whose members are without their eyesight, and are of the same family.
The family team comprises of the father, Ustad Afzalur Rahman; a famous Sarod Maestro and master creator of ragas such as “Rupabati”, “Meghawaty” and “Lolita”; along with his two daughters, Mohua Rahman Ruba and Antara Rahman Tungtang, whom have acquired international reputation by their stunning vocal and instrumental performances in many countries of Asia and Europe. Their mother, Anwara Rahman, is the only woman's sarod player in the country.
Besides this, the two sisters (Ruba & Tungtang) of the band are equally capable in performing pop music in both English and Bengali. They themselves are used to writing lyrics, composing tunes and playing instruments like the Sarod, Violin and Key-board. The father has since passed away in 2009 but the daughters continue the legacy of the father enthralling Bangladeshi audiences and media with their performances.
